Is there any way to use Snapseed instead of the basic Photos editor, without dealing with all this headache? This also seems to remove all the detailed info of the picture (what camera took it, the locations, etc) that I would much rather preserve. When I edit a picture in Snapseed, it saves the picture to a Snapseed folder on my phone, which is automatically backed up to Photos, but under a different file name and the date that I edited it rather than the date it was taken on. Some with unwanted things that need edited out, like lens flare and blemishes and things that I need to use Snapseed or something more feature rich for. I'm glad that it doesnt save duplicates now, and had the ability to roll back changes and all that.īut there are some photos that need a little more work. Some of them need some minor fixing up (like straightening, cropping, etc) that can be done just fine using the Photos apps native editing options. I just got back from vacation with thousands of pictures.
